You need two bank accounts. That's it.

Income Checking — all your paychecks land here. All your bills auto-pay from here. You don't carry a debit card for this account. It runs itself.

Lifestyle Checking — once or twice a month, you transfer a set amount from Income to Lifestyle. This is your spending money. Buy what you want. Run it down to zero every month and feel good about it.

What's left in your Income account after bills and your Lifestyle transfer? That's your Freedom bucket. That's the money building your future without you having to white-knuckle it every day.
